Compatibility Issue with Select Motherboards (Xeno Pro)
Solution
PROBLEM: A small number of motherboard models attempt to start PCIe devices quicker (<85ms) than the time defined in the PCIe specification (100ms). Affected motherboards do not allow Xeno enough time to boot. As a result, Xeno does not show up in the device manager, and hinders the driver install process.
Known motherboards with this issue:
MSI AMD3 790FX-GD70
MSI K9A2 Platinum V2
Biostar TA790GXE
Gigabyte GA-MA790FX DS5
SOLUTION: Bigfoot Networks has implemented a fix to dramatically reduce the boot time to mitigate this issue. This will enable Xeno to boot in time and function properly. This fix is done by making low level changes to the product, which cannot be modified in the field. Therefore, anyone experiencing issues with one of these motherboard models should contact the Xeno Pro’s manufacturer to exchange for a modified card.
