Bigfoot Networks provides these forums as a service for our customers and those interested in our products, and intends to be a helpful, family-friendly, and good-natured, and positive environments where members are able to exchange information and tips, seek help, and enjoy friendly discussion. We seek to encourage interaction within our community, even if we cannot respond to each and every post. We provide these four basic guidelines as a way of explaining what is expected of all members of our forums:
Guidelines
1) Be Courteous and Constructive
You do not want to have to deal with people being unfriendly on the forums to you, so you should not be unfriendly to them either. Please do not post anything abusive, lewd, inflammatory, threatening, or anything else that could be considered harassment. Do not troll, do not flame people, products, or organizations, and please remain friendly and constructive while on the forums.
2) Stay on Topic
Please do not attempt to derail threads, or otherwise introduce new topics in existing threads. If you would like to discuss something new, please create your own thread for it. Also, please do not post threads in forums where they would not be considered on topic. If you have a topic that you are not sure fits into the other forums, post it in the 'Off Topic' forum. Do not ask support questions in the General Discussion forums.
3) Do Not Spam
While it is perfectly acceptable to talk about the hottest new online gaming titles in the Gaming forum, and the latest graphics cards in the Hardware forum, do not post about third party services, products, websites, or organizations. Also, do not post repeatedly in the forums to cause a post or a forum to be flooded.
4) Be Mindful of the Law
This should be fairly straight forward: do not do anything illegal. We do not support any illegal conduct, such as hacking, viruses, Trojans, infringements on intellectual property rights, posting of anything libelous or defamatory, cracking and pirating software, and other illegal activities.
Enforcement of Guidelines
Our moderators and staff have the rights to modify and delete posts, restrict access and ban users when deemed appropriate, at their sole discretion, and without notice or appeal. These decisions by moderators will be based on the prior guidelines.
If you do not adhere to the rules listed above, there are a number of actions that might be taken by a moderator as a result of your conduct, based on severity of the action:
- - An infraction attached to the account, which will affect future judgments
- - The editing of a post or signature
- - Removal of the ability to have a signature
- - Deletion of a post of a thread
- - Locking of a thread
- - Trimming or merging of excessive or repetitive posts and threads (which does not necessarily imply an infraction)
- - A temporary ban from the forums
- - A permanent ban from the forums
- - Legal action may also be taken for the most serious violations
